Entering a new decade really makes us think about what matters, and for us, that hasn’t changed since we first opened our virtual doors. What matters most to us is YOU! We’ve always been obsessed with concocting the best of the best natural skincare because skincare is a great way to incorporate putting yourself first daily...a.k.a practicing self-care!
While we can design products fit for any lifestyle or need, we know no one knows self-care more than, well, yourself! So, for all of 2020 we will be spotlighting green beauty enthusiasts, boss babes, Honey Belle team members, AND even our very own customers in a special Q&A series centered around all things self-care.
Follow along and get inspo for new ways to love on yourself or if you have some awesome tips and want to share, let us know here. Ready. Set. Self-care.

Can you walk us through a typical day for you?
In the morning I make sure I drink at least one full glass of water to get my mind and body flowing and keep my skin hydrated. Next, I brush my teeth and do a quick morning skincare routine: a couple pumps of our Rose Foaming Soap, a few spritzes of our Facial Tonic, and a few drops of Elixir. Dewy and ready to work! My typical workday consists of virtual meetings, in-person meetings, scheduled calls, and emails. I find some time mid-day to squeeze in a yoga class, and typically have 3-4 sessions of yoga per week devoted for self-care. I typically work at night too, and before I sleep I use my Gua Sha tool to massage my temples and TMJ area, while I wind down for a restful night's sleep.
What are your favorite ways to self-care?
My favorite ways to self-care of course includes skincare and masks, yoga, cleaning & organizing, sharing what's important to me with others, pursuing what matters to me, being authentic about where I've been being inauthentic, various forms of self-discovery, going through challenges and standing for myself.
What are some things that cause you stress? How do you manage?
Some things that cause me stress are being overwhelmed with having "too much to do, and too little time." Being doubtful of myself. Being uncertain about the future. Second-guessing myself and being hard on myself. Having a big goal and not knowing where to start. You know, just the usual entrepreneur problems haha.
I manage stress by taking things one at a time, creating new perspectives and ways to look at things/ideas/people, and also just...starting somewhere.
What advice related to self-care do you wish you received growing up?
My mother always told me to “stay out of the sun”, but as a young and adventurous surfer girl I loved the sun and getting a sun-kissed tan. Out of rebelling against what she told me, I never wore sunscreen and to this day- have a habit of forgetting my daily sunscreen (hey I'm not perfect either!) Now, I try my best to stay out of the sun and remember to apply sunscreen when I'm out and about. So I guess it’s more of what self-care advice I wish I listened to.
Can you tell us more about skincare and self-care?
As someone fully consumed in the skincare industry, I LOVE skincare and honestly have too many brands to name. I am grateful to be in the conversation of emerging skincare brands and I swear I’m not biased but there is no product like Honey Belle’s ELIXIR Facial Oil, it’s my day 1 and my forever go-to moisturizer.
That's all for now! Know someone whose self-care game is on point? Send us a message and we'll ask ALL the questions.
