Body Cleansing Meditation

Welcome to our Body Cleansing Meditation. It is an intentional cleansing practice that focuses on mindfulness, breath, and body awareness, focused on inviting fresh new energy, detoxifying the mind and body, and releasing any impurities and what no longer serves you.

Duration: 5-25 minutes

Items needed: body soap (we recommend: Exfoliating Loofah Soap), water

Directions:

1. Take a moment to ground. Take a deep breath and inhale fresh, new energy. Hold it at the top, and release, exhale out of your mouth. Seal your lips and seal your breath, and continue to breathe intentionally.

2. Notice the surroundings around you. Hear the sounds, feel the water against your skin. 

3. Scrub and lather your soap in circulation motions, from your neck down to your feet and toes. With each body part that you're cleansing, visualize and imagine fresh new energy pouring in, and sending love and gratitude to that body part.

4. As you rinse and cleanse your body of the soap and impurities, imagine a white glowing and healing light move through your body parts having the outside of your skin and the inside of your body be cleansed and healed. 

What Happens in a Body Cleansing Meditation?

In a body cleansing meditation, participants often:

  1. Begin with Grounding: A few moments are dedicated to deep, calming breaths to center oneself.
  2. Visualize Cleansing Energy: Visualizations may include envisioning a white or golden light moving through the body, from head to toe, releasing tension, toxins, and negativity.
  3. Focus on Each Part of the Body: The meditation may guide individuals through each part of the body, relaxing muscles and releasing any stored energy or emotions.
  4. Breathe Intentionally: Breathwork often accompanies the visualization to promote oxygen flow and symbolize release with every exhalation.
